Description Maintenance Operations Team Leaders – BAA Heathrow to £46,000 Plus Bonus, Full Salary Pension, L.A., Healthcare, Travel & Shopping Discounts etc… Over the last five years BAA has been making major changes to its organisational structure, which, coupled with massive ongoing investment will provide an environment for travellers & other airport business community stakeholders that will be very different to the Airport’s historical, state-owned transport infrastructure heritage… – T5 is only the first of several key steps in Heathrow’s evolution strategy. But this won’t simply involve new buildings and reinvented processes capable of handling greater volumes of passengers… it involves committing to profound cultural shifts across the business as a whole. Leading one of Heathrow’s recently restructured specialist technical teams, you will be motivated to play a key role in helping the Airport realise its ambitious plans for the future. Through skilful coaching, example & leadership, you would be expected to create a genuine team environment ... one where individuals and teams are constantly motivated by the needs of BAA's customers and airport business partners... as well as helping generate a tangible continuous improvement culture. We are looking for natural leaders with a maintenance or facilities management background and a positive approach to Change... and with a proven record of continually enhancing performance by involving your team and colleagues. We are currently looking for graduate calibre candidates (HNC and higher) with technical and team leadership credentials gained in a World Class Operational Maintenance Environment. Other important factors are: · Strong experience in a commercially-pressurised environment (Mechanical, Mechanical or Electrical) · Leading Teams in an organisation where operational effectiveness & customer service are both key · The ability to a key role in bedding-in a genuine continuous improvement culture · · Effective relationship management…. Customers, Business Partners & Contractors · Strong commercial acumen, but with a collaborative, coaching-oriented leadership style · Good knowledge of modern Health & Safety management approaches
