PERMANENT VACANCY: MECHANICAL ENGINEER
SALARY : £23-30k neg
plus Pension / Healthcare / Bonus / 20 days holiday rising to 25 one day a year

THE COMPANY:
We are a world leading global manufacturer of highly engineered products for industrial automation and mechanisation with a reputation for innovation. Due to expansion we require additional engineers at our European Technical Centre.
We are looking for customer focussed mechanical engineers with excellent design, project engineering and communication skills. You will be a graduate mechanical engineer with at least 2 years experience in design and development. Preferably you will have design experience of mass production products or special purpose machine design.
As a mechanical engineer you will be responsible for creating customised products, taking them from design through to testing, whilst working with our customers and our own engineers from Europe and Japan. You will be responsible for co-ordinating your own projects which will be focused on delivering high quality special products to meet our customer's needs.
Occasional travel within Europe to customer sites will be required in order to fulfil the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creating concept designs of customised existing products to meet customer's specific requirements Occasionally creating detailed parts drawings for prototype testing Carrying out testing of pneumatic products Responsible for own smaller projects Participation on larger projects with supervision from other Engineers. Provide technical product support to The Company's European subsidiaries Visit customers to determine technical requirements for new products Participate in technical market research activities
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
Mechanical Engineering degree 2:1 preferred Ability to use Catia (or other 3D package) and AutoCAD Experience in design of small mechanical components Ability to work as part of a multicultural team Experience
