Applications Engineer - Steam Turbine Sales - PETERBOROUGH £30K circa.
As an Applications Engineer, your main objective will be to prepare a formal quotation against customer enquiry and manage response to tender from start to finish. This will be aligned to the customer enquiry process and includes a number of different formats and costing structures.
You will need to create exceptional customer relationships with the ability to manage customer queries and questions and deliver to their needs in a 'jargon free' manner.
Along with the Sales team, this role is key in providing enough information through the sales process to the to enable the customer to make the decision to buy.
You will need to have knowledge of steam turbine design and manufacture and their applications as well as an understanding of the industries and markets where they are best used. However, for the successful applicant a relevant training programme will be created where these criteria cannot be met. You will also have an HND or appropriate engineering degree and a good working knowledge and application of computer skills using Microsoft products. Your ability to plan, organise and be clear on priorities will be critical to success.
