Production Engineering Manager - circa £30k
London/Middlesex
a great opportunity to join a well established manufacturer in the aerospace industry leading the production engineering department as the production engineering manager.
Your main role will be to improve manufacturing capability by continuous improvement of quality performance and implementation of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Responsibilities will be to lead and develop a team of production engineers including staff discipline and development.
- Develop and implement prodcution processes and utilise continuous improvement techniques.
- Project manage new equipment introduction.
- Assist with the introduction of new products from engineering into production.
We are looking for someone with around 5 years production engineering experience within a mechanical/electro-mechanical environment. Awareness of continuous improvement techniques and lean manufacturing.
HNC or degree in mechanical engineering or similar. Broad process knowledge including machining, assembly and test, and experience of working within the automotive/aerospace industry utilising lean principles.
