Description Systems Engineer / Team Leader Somerset
Salary c £35K + Benefits Team leader roles c £45K - £50K + benefits package
Will be working on exciting future tanker aircraft systems.
Required to support the development of complex software intensive systems and reusable products, working with internal and external customers to elicit needs and derive stable technical requirements. You will carry out requirements analysis and architecture modelling activities and develop the system architectural design, liaising with other disciplines and specialist engineering (e.g. ILS, Safety, Security) to ensure that all functional and non-functional requirements are met . You would be required to liaise with customers and subcontractors on technical issues relating to systems engineering and subsystem design.
Technical and professional skills include the understanding of the complete project lifecycle (requirements, design, development, integration, acceptance and through life support). You should have practical application of Scenario based modelling for systems and software development (e.g. using tools such as Rhapsody/UML) and familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS). You should be capable of demonstrating understanding of Design and Acceptance issues relating to Complex Systems or System of Systems and have an understanding of Speciality Engineering and how this impacts on Systems Engineering (e.g. Safety, ILS, security, ARM, human factors).
Any experience of: Mission Support Systems and Command & Control Systems, Acoustic processing, data manipulation and display and Mil Std 498 would all be useful although not essential.
