Key Accountabilities
Design Engineers
• Use of specified functional or analytical tools, including hand calcs where appropriate, to optimise the design of components or simple systems.
• Detail design of specified hardware up to the required level, meeting the quality standards of Prodrive or the client as appropriate.
• Effective liaison with other engineers, suppliers or manufacturing to exchange all necessary information.
Development Engineers
• Use of specified functional or analytical tools, including hand calcs where appropriate, to optimise the design of components or simple systems.
• Execution of specified test activities, including reporting, to meet the objectives of the project.
Component/Project Engineers
• Support the design and development process, ensuring the timely delivery of detail drawings, test results, reports or hardware to the required standards, using either Prodrive or client processes.
• Maintain effective links between Prodrive engineers, suppliers and client engineers, to deliver timely solutions to any technical issues arising – which may include periods off-site at client, supplier or partner facilities.
Work Requirements:
Design of driveline components from concept to production.
Typical areas to include: Clutch (dry and wet multi-plate) Clutch Release mechanisms Transmission – manual, shift mechanisms, casings, clusters, synchros, etc AMT’s – actuation (hydraulic/electric), suitability Transfer case/ PTU’s Differentials – active, passive, LSDs. Propshafts/driveshafts – joints/angles Driveline layouts and packaging Gear design – Work with chosen cons | | |
