This is a position for a Controls Engineer / Controls Technician / Electrical Engineer to work at a fast growing capital equipment manufacturer – market leaders in their field with a technology based, innovative product range and a continuing commitment to extensive R+D.
You will be working within their Control Systems division and your duties will involve:-
• Maintenance of existing controls systems
• Engineering design and development
• Construction and test of prototype systems
• Sourcing suppliers, writing systems specifications
The ideal candidate will be qualified to at least HNC level, with an engineering apprenticeship in controls or instrument engineering, and possibly a degree. You will be familiar with PLC and motion systems, drive technology and various HMI and networks solutions, as well as a working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatics and electrical systems. Your background might include some automated process experience and you will be a good team operator, with a logical approach to faultfinding.
