Production Engineer - Electronics
Northamptonshire
To c£35k + indexed pension, insurance
This is a new role with this growing and innovative electronics designer and manufacturer, brought about by the steadily increasing demand for their products. They operate at the leading edge of high speed electronics technology – producing high value, low to mid volume sophisticated systems for defence and industrial applications.
We are looking for a Production Engineer/ Manufacturing Engineer / Electronics Engineer to help get their new and existing products built to aggressive cost, quality and delivery deadlines.
Your role will involve:-
• Liaising with project teams to cover DFM on new and existing products
• Determining the most cost effective manufacturing methods and processes
• Identifying and procuring all necessary jigs and tooling for production to start
• Monitoring production yield and carrying out failure and technical investigations
• Driving continuous improvement activities with the application of SPC, FMEA, Kaizen etc
• Supporting and directing the activities of third party contract manufacturers.
The successful candidate will probably be educated to degree level in an engineering discipline, able to demonstrate results in all of the above areas, be used to working in a lean manufacturing environment and experienced dealing with a complex, technically challenging product using a diverse supply chain.
