Description Manufacturing Quality Engineer - Aerospace Engineering Primary Purpose: -To maintain, establish, and to improve product quality standards within the production areas, continually audit manufacturing processes. Collect, analyse and report on non-conformance and cost of quality. To identify opportunities for improvement, implement and close out corrective actions in conjunction with the Manufacturing team. The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will be responsible for Liaison with operations regarding quality requirements and standards. Complete data analysis and prepare reports on quality performance. Analyse reject reports and convert to usable data for improvement activities. Assist in SPC, MSA and six sigma programs. Review all scrap / rejects, monitor and adjudicate on internal non-conformances (MRB). Play an active role in quality development projects. Provide support, and assist in the development of satellite manufacturing facilities. Be a proactive member of the team and support a culture of continuous improvement. Utilise 8D, DMAIC and other problem solving tools as appropriate to ensure robust and timely permanent solutions. Perform Delegated Release of products. Generation and approval of FAIR's. Conduct product, process and business system audits to ensure compliance with Company and Customer requirements Qualifications and Experience – The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will require - Essential -HNC in engineering discipline. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a quality engineering role. Confident and professional manner. A strong individual capable of working on own initiative whilst being a good team player. Desirable Skills - BSI Lead Auditor/IRCA registered, or similar. GreenBelt/6SigmaTraining. Aerospace or automotive background. Keywords – Quality Six Sigma, 6 Sigma, FAIR’s, 8D, SPC, MSA, Aerospace, Automotive . This is a temporary assignment lasting between – 12months – 24 months. Salary £25K-£30K – Location – Farnborough, Hants
