Description
Project Manager NPI / NPI Project Manager – Aerospace
To manage projects, normally in an NPI environment, within an Aerospace Company.
A hands on approach along with a drive and desire to ensure that targets are met or surpassed are a necessity, as well as being able to manage multi-disciplinary teams of people, both internal and external to the business.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are also required for this demanding and challenging position.
Role and Responsibilities include - The NPI Project Manager will be managing several major NPI and business projects. Preparation and presentation of reports to the company executive board. Preparation and presentation of reports to the Customer. Organising and facilitating project meetings. Collating, tracking and measuring financial performance. Preparing budgets. Responsible for identifying, planning and managing risks. Producing, tracking and monitoring complex timing plans using micro-soft projects. · Liaising with Customers and providing regular updates.
Qualifications/Experience - Essential -Mechanical or Electronic HNC or similar. Mechanical or Electronic Engineering Degree or equiv. Good presentation skills, verbally articulate. Good planning skills· Hands on approach. Good commercial and business awareness. Good judgement and decision making skills. Engineer with project management experience. Previous Proven technical and problem solving experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment. Previous experience of NPI, or cradle to grave project control. Background within aerospace or very closely related industry. Previous experience of preparing budgets, tracking and measuring performance. PC skills (MS Office). Extensive technical and problem solving experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Programme management experience in a tiering relationship.
