Description Reliability and Maintainability Manager – Aerospace / Defence To manage the R&M Engineering programme on a major MoD contract. Day to day liaison with staff from other disciplines, ILS colleagues and sub-contractors on ILS, R&M and Tech Pubs matters. Key Tasks - Conduct a wide range of R&M Engineering activities including: R&M Programme Management; R&M Requirements Management; Software Reliability; R&M Allocation, Modelling & Prediction; · Life and Critical Items; Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis; Reliability Centred maintenance; Damage Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis; R&M Case methodology; Reliability Qualification Testing; Environmental Stress Screening; Maintainability Qualification Testing; Data Recording Analysis and Corrective Action System; Integration of R&M within the ILS / LSA; Manage R&M data into LSAR; In-Service Reliability Demonstration. Technical & Professional skills - Experience R&M Engineer / Manager (preferably, experience relating to electronic equipment); Detailed Knowledge of DEF STAN 00-40 series (especially 00-40 & 00-42) is essential; Working knowledge of DEF STAN 00-60 series, MIL-STD-1629A, MIL-STD-2173 (or equivalent); MIL-HDBK-781A, MIL-HDBK-470/472, MIL-HDBK-338B; Good general computer skills in MS Word and MS Excel are essential and some experience of MS Access is desirable; Candidates with a good technical background or ex-service personnel with comparable experience will also be considered; Ability to liaise with Customers representatives (MoD), staff from other disciplines and sub-contractors / suppliers. Education & Qualifications - Candidates require a good technical background, with numerical skills. Degree or HND in a numerate discipline (or equivalent experience) Personality / Behaviours -Ability to liaise with Customers representatives, staff from other disciplines and sub-contractors. . Self motivated. Reliable and accurate . . Good communications skills. Prepared to travel to other sites at various locations within the UK and abroad if required. Additional Information - Must be cleared to UK Restricted. Prepared to travel to other sites at various locations in and out of the UK on an occasional basis. Salary - to £40K – Location – Crawley, West Sussex.
