Sourcing and Commodity Manager - £35k to £45k
Littlehampton/West Sussex
A leading manufacturer of industrial motor control products that has sites based around the globe now has the requirement for a Sourcing/Commodity Manager to join it's successful team.
The role will report directly to the division supply chain manager and will primarily focus on strategically developing and implementing commodity/supply chain strategies to reduce costs.
We are looking for an experienced purchasing professional with experience within an electro-mechanical manufacturing company. You will be required to work very closely with the tactical purchasing and materials teams and will require you to manage a team of three directly for strategic and will involve some hands on purchasing activities. On top of this you will also mange a team of two tactical buyers.
Ideally to succeed in this role you will need to have the following:
- Degree/HND or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Experience within strategic and tactical purchasing within an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Lean manufacturing, Kanban, design for manufacture, vendor managed inventory and compound standadisation.
- Knowledge of MRP system and modern manufacturing techniques.
- Line manager/Supervisory experience required within Supply Chain functions ie, PURCHASING, Materials Planning, Logistics or Supplier Quality.
