Description
Quality Engineer – MOD programme - ISO 9001 - Bristol - £35k
Working on a Defence programme, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating all quality assurance activities for warship management systems (WMS) in accordance with ISO 9001. This will involve development and maintenance of the WMS processes, templates and tools to support quality and delivery; maintenance of ISO9001 certification. The Quality Engineer will conduct internal audits and system reviews, ensuring compliance with procedures and to identify improvements. The Quality Engineer will also be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation, providing advice and coaching; evaluate quality reports, recommend corrective action and implement improvement plans. The Quality Engineer will also be required to attend subcontractor and supplier meetings and work closely with external audit bodies including LRQA, Lloyds, GQAR, NAO in the execution of their assessments and reviews.
Quality Engineers should have a good working knowledge of ISO9001, DEFSTAN and DEFCON is also preferred relating to product quality with experience of working in large programmes and in multi-disciplinary project teams. Proven experience of developing and maintaining ISO9001 compliant management systems. Auditing to ISO9001 and implementation of corrective, preventive and improvement actions. Product quality management of sub systems and major systems through design, manufacture and acceptance. Degree level or equivalent. Quality engineering.
