Description Our client who is a web based company is looking for a SQL Server Database Developer to be responsible for the ongoing database development and maintenance within the products as part of a team of 8 DBAs within an large IT department.
Your objectives will be to build solutions to automate loading and maintenance of data and therefore reduce business as usual workload and design and develop data archiving solutions.
Key duties
?Support our portfolio of products by managing data flows into and out of the product databases.
?To develop new functionality to meet changing business requirements.
?To perform analysis and performance tuning of database environments to support an aggressively growing environment.
?To implement best practises in terms of data security and management, including archiving, purging and data protection.
?Provide operational DBA cover when required.
Ideally you have the following key skills;
?3 years SQL Server 2000/7.0 development
?2 years SQL Server 2000/7.0 dba supporting time-critical production environments
?Proven track record of relational database design including stored procedures, security roles and optimisation for scalable solutions.
?Strong communication and analysis skills – sufficient to ensure that business requirements can be determined and translated into technical solutions accurately.
?Experience working with systems in a time critical environment with minimised downtime a must.
?Experience of Scrum or other Agile methodologies.
?SQL Server replication and clustering experience.
?Knowledge of XML, Xpath and XSL
?Experience working in a Web based environment.
?Experience in .Net technology specifically ASP.Net and C#.
