Description To apply the latest research and development to industrial steam turbines. The role purpose is to undertake work associated with turbine component design. The aim is the develop and deliver high efficiency and cost effective turbines into the market within a relatively short period of time. The role holder will be responsible for estimating task requirements, task planning and execution to an agreed budget. The role will also be accountable to other team members within the Technology Execution team. Undertake work associated with turbine component design including component stressing, creep design, thermal stressing and transient stress analysis covering all aspects of the turbine operating envelope. | | |
