Description Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer Salary to £46K + Benefits Crawley, West Sussex
Our clients are focused on winning bids, defining business requirements, providing customer interface and delivering contracts.
The primary purpose of this role is to support two main activities. One being to provide technical and operational requirements analysis, systems design and review to land and air bids and also to provide design authority expertise to bids and programmes.
Key tasks would include:
§ Analysis of customer bid requirements and support to defining and structuring technical proposal response § Prediction and modelling of system performance § Production, and/or review, of proposal documentation § Produce, support and review engineering bid estimates - Ensure correct technical review of bid and proposal documentation § Ensure maximum commonality of system design and technology on bids. § Provide assistance and advice to the product line development. § To provide system design expertise support to Chief Engineers, CAMs and WP Leaders on bids and programmes. § To ensure correct interface control on bids and programmes. Technical & Professional skills:
§ Experience in System Engineering process from concept development, system design, performance requirements definition, integration and test of large-scale systems of systems. § Experience in systems architecture / technical design, estimating and project scoping of complex systems. § Experience of complex system performance prediction and modelling § Experience in ULM / DoDAF / MoDAF or equivalent architecture frameworks. § Experience of requirements management and requirements engineering processes. § Experience in using system-engineering tools such as Popkin SA and DOORS. § Experience and understanding of the MoD and export customer procurement cycle. § Understanding Integrated Test and Evaluation, Acceptance and Certification. § Understanding of the use of Operational Analysis and Balance of Investment (BOI) studies. § Knowledge of combat system structures.
