Description
CAD Process Specialist
To develop and promote CATIA V5 best modelling practices using parameterised model templates, macros and software utilities.
Provide training in the use of these macros and utilities.
Develop macros and software utilities to improve design throughput and Catia V5 data exchange between the design teams and our customers, suppliers and analysis teams.
Develop CATIA V5 CAD models to meet design requirements of packaged electronic equipment or payload accommodation layouts.
To produce associated drawing output of details and general assemblies.
Manage electronic release of associated drawing and data files via SAP and SPRINT to enable configuration.
Either working alone, as part of a team or in a small team lead role controlling the day to day activities of other designers responsible for maintaining cost and schedule.
Qualifications and/or Skills
Essential:
HNC or equivalent
Desirable:
VPM (Virtual Product Manager) experience:
Previous Experience
Essential:
Catia V4/V5. 3D solid modelling, 2D draughting,
Electro mechanical design,
Mechanical structures.
A working knowledge of C, C++ and visual basic.
Desirable:
Experience of working with Nastran and Femap.
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
