Description ILS Engineer / Integrated Logistics Support Engineer / Supportability Engineer – Aerospace / Defence. Primary Purpose of the Role - Understanding the products and their supportability requirement to influence the design when and where required. Management and production of ILS activities and deliverables (Plans and reports) for ILS programmes and prospects. Key Tasks - The ILS Engineer includes the following responsibilities: Fully understand the external and internal requirements. Close technical (electronics/avionics) communication with System, Hardware and Software Engineering. Planning and managing of the ILS activities with the ILS Control Account Manager, Achievement of all ILS milestones within schedule and budget with the required quality. Participation to ILS and Through Life Support estimates for Avionics. Participation to bids and Proposals. Technical & Professional skills –Good experience in ILS Engineering preferred. Experience in military ILS programmes/bids. Experience in civil ILS would be a plus Desirable to have experience of TLS analysis and methods. Education & Qualifications - Must have a logistic background with a good knowledge of UK MoD ILS requirements. A good understanding of RM&T analysis will be appreciated. Must be able to work on different projects and be pro-active. Must be responsive and a team player.Must be PC literate, have strong numerate skills and have very good writing skills. Must have a working knowledge of UK Defence and US Military Standards. Background / Skills required: Good knowledge of Support and LSA, Background in R & M Engineering, • Familiarity with Avionics Systems and Aircraft Integration requirements, Self motivating individual willing to take on challenges, PC Literate: Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Visio Engineering degree, HNC/HND minimum or equivalent.. Detailed knowledge of DEF STAN 00-60,• Mil Std 1388-1A, 2B, Mil Hdbk 217F, Mil Hdbk 472. Personality / behaviours -Strong interest in electronics/avionics Good team player, well organised and sense of details and accuracy. ILS Engineer / Integrated Logistics Support Engineer / Supportability Engineer – Aerospace / Defence. Salary £30K-£45K – Location – Surrey / Middlesex border (South West London)
