Description
Our Client is the world's leading supplier of truck, tractor, bus and recreational vehicle suspensions; trailer suspensions, controls and non-integrated axles; truck and trailer lift axles; bumpers and trim components, and truck, tractor and trailer springs to the commercial transportation industry.
Their continued success and busy work schedule means they have an urgent requirement for an experienced mechanical engineer to provide support to one of their busy project teams.
The Role:
The role will involve the resolution of design and manufacture issues throughout the entire development cycle. Candidates will therefore need to have an excellent understanding of all aspects of component design and development processes and have the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively through liaison with appropriate teams, colleagues and suppliers
Some Design and CAD skills are also necessary to apply minor design changes that are necessitated by the requirements of production and assembly
The role may also require occasional overseas travel
Required Skills:
3D CAD skills (Ideally SolidWorks)
Good, all round mechanical Engineering experience
Knowledge of Design and Manufacturing procedures
Experience gained within commercial vehicle/heavy engineering
