Description
Our Client is a leading development partner of the automobile and engine industry with a proven and unique system competence in the area of combustion engines and engine peripherals. They are among the top 3 system suppliers for Piston Systems, Cylinder Components, Valve Train Systems, Air Management Systems and Liquid Management Systems.
The Role:
To support the Engineering site on matters regarding Quality Management, Supplier Quality Assurance and Product Quality Planning
Quality Management System:
To ensure that the Engineering Management System procedures comply with ISO/TS 16949, and any other quality management system, if required
To facilitate improvements in the Engineering Management System procedures as and when required
To support the Engineering Management System internal audits as a lead auditor and facilitate the progress of the audit action plan
To take part in internal quality audits in order to satisfy the company’s needs when required
Supplier Quality Assurance & Advanced Product Quality Planning:
To provide Supplier Quality Assurance support for key projects and prototype suppliers in general
To support the Project Teams with specialist knowledge of quality practices
To support the Project teams on the development and management of Product Quality Planning processes
Other duties as required
Responsibilities:
To work with Chief Engineers to ensure Quality system compliance (ISO/TS16949)
Ensure ISO/TS16949 accreditation is maintained
To provide SQA and APQP support project and purchasing departments
Requirements:
Degree level or equivalent in Quality related discipline
ISO/TS 16949 Auditor certification
Experience of implementing ISO/TS16949 into a manufacturing or service environment
Experience of automotive engineering environment
Experience of running APQP teams
Experience in Supplier Quality Assurance
Proven capability in the effective use of Microsoft office tools
Effective presentation skills and report writing skills
Knowledge of project management techniques
