Description
Our client are a leading provider of airfield lighting solutions to both civil and military airports. Consistently offering a high standard of customer service has made them one of the foremost suppliers of airfield lighting products to the international marketplace.
In order to optimise their production processes in line with increased demand for products & transfer of the manufacturing facility, a position of Production Engineer has been created at their Warrington based site.
By working with supply, quality, design & production teams the role will provide a vital interface to assembly areas ensuring that parts, production methods and processes are optimsed to redue cost & waste.
You will be responsible for developing bills of materials, using them to develop & generate product costs, customer quotes, identify appropriate product documentation, support design teams to reduce design lead times etc
You will have :-
•Minimum of 5 yrs experience in production/industrial engineering
•Mechanical/Electromechanical Degree/equivilent level
•Understanding of MRP and/or manufacturing production systems.
•Farmiliarity with Lean or TQM techniques
•Working knowledge of Exel, Word & Outlook
You will be a self starting, practical individual who can demonstrate the delivery of positive results along with the ability to develop as the business progresses.
You must be able to create/modify/read mechanical drawings & be comfortable dealing & liasing with suppliers at all levels.
This would suit an engineer looking to make their first/second move who is ambitious to develop as an engineer & an individual.
You must be keen to deliver solutions to customer requirements & be farmiliar with the 'hands on' approach.
A full driving licence is required as some overseas travel maybe necessary as part of the role.
Salary dependant on individual
