Description
An opportunity has arisen for a tenacious and proactive Buyer to join our client, an electro mechanical manufacturer and distributor based within the North West but with a major presence throughout its market place. Reporting into the Operations Manager and working cross functionally with other departments.
You will be responsible for the development of all purchasing functions to ensure they meet the company's demands and requirements, and ensuring that stock levels are within agreed levels. You will be negotiating delivery times, dates and prices with your Global suppliers. You will develop systems and procedures to reduce supplier lead times and stock levels.
You will have a minimum of 2/3 years purchasing experience ideally although not essentially within a manufacturing business. You will ideally have gained experience purchasing from the foreign market. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential, as is tenacity and enthusiasm to complete tasks fully.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Buyer wishing to develop their career as CIPS training will be funded by the business. The role also comes with a salary of circa £25k, company pension and paid holidays.
