ROLE - DESIGN / PROJECT ENGINEER - GRADUATE / MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL
SECTOR - AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
BASED - HINCKLEY, LEICESTERSHIRE
SALARY - circa. £25,000 to £32,500 PER ANNUM (RISING TO £40,000) + PAID OVERTIME

• ABOUT THE ROLES -
Opportunity to become part of the in house design team. Specifying materials and designing parts of a bike.
DESIGN ENGINEER
- To design motorcycle components, producing 3D models (fully detailed drawings)
- Occasional use of stress, performance or noise simulation software
- Close liaison with other departments and suppliers including overseas travel
- Responsibility for the development of their components as required
- Follow Department and Quality Procedures and to assist in creating and updating department procedures
PROJECT ENGINEERS
Will have already the skills and experience of the Design Engineer role above and in addition require:
- Take full responsibility for a major area of a project from conception through to production
- Produce, maintain and monitor the plan for the above project area
- Represent the Design Team in project and design change meetings, including signing design change notes
- Deputise for the Design Team Leader in his/her absence
- Take responsibility for the final stages of a new model project as required
- To fulfil the concept engineering role of a new model project as required
- Take responsibility for a derivative model project as required
We are also inviting applications from candidates with relevant experience for the following positions:
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS
Educated to degree level 2.1 or above in Electrical / Electronic engineering and will have responsibility for:
- Design and development of whole vehicle circuit layouts and wiring harnesses.
- Specification of a wide variety of electrical/electronic components and systems.
- Development of test and instrumentation methods.
GRADUATES
If you're a recently qualified Design Engineering graduate (2:1 or above) with lots of obvious potential and have a passion for motorcycles, motorsports or automotive design and manufacture and are looking for a career in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) please do apply.
