Description
Our client is a bespoke manufacturer of technologically advanced special purpose equipment that serves a variety of industries. As a result of an aggressive expansion plan and a subsequent increase in volumes, they are now looking to recruit a highly motivated Operations Manager to support growth and become an intrinsic part of their dynamic team.
This highly empowered role will be reporting to the General Manager. You will be responsible for growing and improving the organisation in a controlled manner, through the implementation of processes and procedures in order to enhance structure and achieve growth aspirations. You will also implement KPI's and will ensure that they are adhered to at all times in order to improve OTIF to customer. Managing the introduction of new products will also be key part to your role as well as working to a key objective of reducing lead times. Management responsibility will include driving forward production, purchasing, logistics and inventory departments.
Already an Operations Manager/ Production Manager you will be educated to degree level in a technical related discipline and will have experience of working within a Capital Equipment Manufacturer. As a highly motivated and decisive character it will be crucial that you are able to demonstrate strong people management, training and mentoring skills as well as having the ability to work in a demanding environment. Knowledge of quality tools and lean manufacturing methodologies such as Kanban will be extremely beneficial and candidates who have previous experience of working with a “JIT” environment are especially urged to apply.
