Description Purpose of the job
The principal objective of the role is to provide technical assistance to switchgear application engineers, within a team, to achieve the agreed departmental and company goals and objectives.

Lead Engineer
Key Accountabilities
• Assist switchgear application engineers with production of the purchase order required client documentation. This may include, but not be limited to :-
• Assist switchgear application engineers with the production of required manufacturing documentation. This may include, but not be limited to :-
• Procedures, Electrical diagrams, Layout / Arrangements, Detail drawings, Bills of material, Relay setpoint files
• Assist switchgear application engineers with the production of sub-supplier material requisitions for processing by others.
• Liaison with the client on certain technical matters relating to the purchase order, with support by the switchgear application engineers.
• Liaison with other internal departments, as required, to assist the switchgear application engineers in ensuring that the requirements of the purchase order are met.
Communications
The engineering function consists of a number of responsible departments operating internally and externally whose functions are interdependent. Effective and regular communication between department members is crucial.

• A good technical background with commercial awareness • An emphasis on safety, quality and duty of care. • The ability to effectively communicate using both verbal and written communication that delivers high levels of confidence in those dealt with. • The ability to work effectively both individually and importantly as a team member. • The ability to meet the expectation of both internal and external customers, clients and suppliers through a sound understanding of their requirements, being responsive to their needs and exceeding their requirements. • Dedication and commitment. • Proactive in approach, resilient under pressure, ability to maintain clarity and vision and possesses a strong results orientation. • A willingness to embrace change and a welcoming attitude to continuous improvement.
Employment, Educational and Professional Background
Experienced in AutoCAD ONC Electrical Engineering preferable Ideally experience within a Control Panel/Switchgear environment.
