Description SICK (UK) LTD are a key subsidiary of a highly successful international technology design, development and manufacturing organisation whose products encompass a wide and ever expanding range of sensors and sensor solutions for a variety of industrial applications, including Automation Technology, Safety, Auto Identification, Analysis and Process Automation systems. The Company’s success lies in their constant efforts in innovation and product development and their ability to progress as the market requires. The scope for the application of their products is enormous and they now require a new UK Sales Manager to lead the next stage of their growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position forms part of the Senior Management Team and will play a key role in the development of future commercial strategy. The successful candidate will need to be a good communicator, comfortable liaising on all levels, with the strength of character to integrate a range of commercial teams whilst providing the link between R&D and Marketing functions and the marketplace. Formal management experience is essential; as the Sales Manager will be responsible for setting and monitoring sales targets and for sales recruitment, appraisals, staff development etc. Successful applicants are likely to be of graduate calibre with knowledge of Electronics, and ideally, some experience with similar products: industrial sensors, automation, control systems… They will have the drive and determination to help progress the organisation to the next level, drawing on their strong negotiation and strategic planning skills. In return they will take their place within this close knit organisation with a deserved reputation for people development and staff retention.
