Military Ground Vehicles Systems Engineer
Reading, Berkshire
Salary c £30K - £60K + Benefits package
The Ground Vehicles Systems Engineer is required to provide military ground system expertise (in electronics systems such as communication, localization, detection, navigation, datalinks, display functions etc) in support of defence-related business – at both the business development stages (technical proposals etc) and at systems development stages – requirements capture, systems design, integration, test and acceptance.
Accountabilities of the Ground Vehicle Systems Engineer will be:
• Participation in business development – market analysis (from a technical standpoint) and proposals.
• Producing systems and subsystems architectures and top level design – user requirements, requirements specifications etc
• Support to integration and test activities
The role requires and engineer with a strong military ground vehicle electronics systems background who is familiar with the application of systems engineering within the development lifecycle and the use of modern SE CASE tools.
Ideally Ground Vehicle Systems Engineers will be degree qualified (or equiv exp) with industry knowledge and experience in the design, development and fielding electronics systems onboard military ground vehicles and be able to develop solutions with minimal instructions and direction.
