Description LSA Engineer / Logistics Support Engineer / ILS Engineer – Defence Electronics. Our client is a high-technology group renowned worldwide for its expertise in electronics-based defence systems and services, particularly for Naval forces Primary Purpose of the Role – The LSA Engineer is responsible for the NS Logistic Engineering including - Spares Ranging and Scaling, Spares Optimisation, Through Life/Whole Life costs. Obsolescence •Ensure NS maintains its compliance position with respect to DEF STAN 00-60, especially Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR), Ensure NSmaintains its compliant position with respect to AECMA 2000M, especially Initial Provisioning and Electronic Codification, Act as the NS Focal point for the iLOG Software Suite. Key Tasks – The Logistics Support Engineer will be working on major Defence related programmes as part of a multi disciplined team, the applicant will be required to plan, implement and document Logistic Support Analyses in accordance with DEF STAN 00-60 and/or MIL STD 1388. This will include Maintenance Task Analysis, Level Of Repair Analysis, Life Cycle Cost and Initial Provisioning in accordance with AECMA 2000M. Be responsible for identification and provision of appropriate LSA data (scope and format) for inclusion into a DEF STAN 00-60 Complaint LSAR Database. To interface with all other supportability Elements including Supply Support, AR&M, STTE, and IETP both internal and external. Manage the Company's ILS Software suite (iLOG), ensuring it's availability and acting as the point of contact between the User's and Suppliers. Technical & Professional skills - The Logistics Support Engineer will have proven experience in a similar position with a suitable qualification in a technical discipline (HND or above) or hands on experience of maintaining complex electronic- mechanical and hydraulic systems within the MoD preferably RN. Computer literate and proficient in use of Microsoft Office. Fully conversant with LSAR software ideally iLOG Suite (Eagle, ASPECT and ACQUIRED). Experience of LCC modelling techniques and tools ( PRICE HL, SEALECT, EDCAS, or similar) and Electronic Codification. Knowledge of Spares provisioning and RCM Software would be advantageous. No direct supervision required. However the task will require placing request/work packages on other functions, both internal and external to generate the required data.
