Description
Technical Project Manager / Systems Project Manager – Tactical Data Links, Military Communications, RF, Aviation.
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for developing the product against its specification within the cost, schedule and level of quality required. The engineering will be composed of systems, software and hardware engineers. The scope of work the Systems Technical Project Manager will be involved in ranges from technical proposals/bids to final qualification/validation.
Duties include – The Technical Systems Project Manager will create and execute multidiscipline development plan. Organise and provide technical direction and guidance to the team (resources, task allocation, priority management, technical decision) to ensure achievement of the goals. Monitor project funding and financial performance.
Skills/Experience required for this role - Must be familiar with a multi disciplined environment (systems, hardware and software). Posses strong organisational and leadership skills. Strong decision making skills, familiar with risk management, EVM, financial controls and constraints.
Able to lead a team successfully and execute a product development project.
Qualifications/Experience Skills set required for this role – Engineering degree in electronics or aeronautics or telecommunications, Knowledge of Tactical Data Links would be ideal. Experience leading a multidiscipline team in electronics, aeronautics or telecommunications.
Good interpersonal skills and willingness to travel worldwide.
