Our client is one of the world’s largest independent manufacturers and distributors of pre-recorded multi-media. They are currently looking to recruit a Production Engineer to join their Ipswich DVD manufacturing facility.
As a Production Engineer you will be responsible for providing engineering support to the facility’s manufacturing operations. Your role will involve carrying out repairs, undertaking preventative maintenance schedules and providing support for the ongoing project work of the department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- undertaking fault diagnosis and repairs
- carrying out preventative maintenance plans and schedules
- assisting Quality Control staff with process and product audits
- providing support to Operational staff and assisting with training
- assisting with projects involving manufacturing equipment
To succeed as the Production Engineer you must have experience in production engineering (or similar), and you must be qualified in Production Engineering to at least ONC/OND level (or equivalent).
It is also essential that you have an understanding of the following:
- Reading circuit diagrams
- Mechanical Engineering
- PLCs
- Pneumatics
This position follows a continental shift pattern.
