Our client is part of a successful manufacturing group who are continuing to invest in new plant and facilities and business acquisitions.
Quality Manager
Salary: £30-35000 + benefits
Location: West Midlands ( commutable from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Redditch, Walsall, West Bromwich, Dudley, Telford, Cannock areas)
The position of Quality Manager will be part of the senior management team responsible for delivering high quality precision components to the automotive industry.
Key Activities:
· Develop and maintain the Quality Management System based on TS16949 and ISO 9001.
· Identification and implementation of quality processes providing internal support generating quality processes and plans;
· Lead a process of identification and implementation of quality improvements using root cause analysis;
· Customer liaison including site visits and problem resolution.
· Monitor and report on performance in regards to all aspects of quality;
· Co-ordinate and provide relevant quality training;
· Responsible for task and performance management within their team.
Key Skill Requirements:
The post holder will preferably be educated to degree level or equivalent, in a relevant technical or quality discipline and possess the following profile:
· Previous responsibility for maintenance of a Quality Management Systems (QMS) which meets TS16949, QS 9000 or ISO 9001:2000;
· Sound leadership abilities whilst also working as a team member;
· Excellent influencing, interpersonal, presentational and coaching skills;
· Capability to effectively influence across the full range of levels of staff Commercially aware with a good understanding of a technical environment and precision metal manufacturing processes such as presswork, CNC machining, forging or tool-room;
· Previous experience working in a senior quality role within the automotive, aerospace, nuclear or similar precision engineering environment.
