Description Renishaw are currently seeking to recruit a Software Support Infrastructure Engineer/Analyst. This role will focus on the way that Renishaw supports its sales and technical support teams worldwide, how we provide value-added services to our customers, and the way that we collect feedback from our user-base.
Working closely with the Software Business Managers to help define strategy, this position potentially has a strong input into the future development of the PC software products and their associated infrastructure.
KEY OUTPUTS AND DELIVERABLES:
• The responsibility of analysing and implementing the business requirements to support software sales from the Machine Tool division • Analysis of current business methods and identifying improvements • Working with Renishaw subsidiaries to develop a network of worldwide support experts • Managing the production and distribution of support information, internally and externally to the company • Working closely with other product divisions to develop customer-facing support services and promote the sale of software maintenance contracts
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE:
All applicants are required to have: • An ability to analyse business needs and processes, and identify weak/strong aspects of these • An ability to write and moderate customer-facing documentation according to business standards
Although not essential, it would be desirable if applicants have the following: • To have worked on the implementation of a new business process • Expertise in Microsoft SharePoint services • Knowledge of CAD/CAM or business software sales / purchasing • Knowledge of Renishaw product ordering and distribution systems • Familiarity of software support structures within a business and to end users
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The individual in this role will work with a diverse range of people within the Renishaw business and will need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels. The role requires an analytical mind with an understanding of the strengths of different job roles within the business and of customer requirements. Because of the wide range of tasks potentially involved in this role we are looking for a self-starter who can take the initiative and ensure that projects are completed from start to finish.
LOCATION:
This role is based at the New Mills site at Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire.
