This is a truly outstanding opportunity for an experienced, graduate calibre, manufacturing professional to join the senior management team of this leading manufacturer of fabricated and machined components for the oil and gas sector world-wide. This company is one of a dozen companies that make up a very successful, privately owned global Engineering Group with interests in the UK, South Africa USA and Australia.
JOB TITLE: Works Manager

THE ROLE
• The Works Manager will be report to the Managing Director and will be accountable for the effective planning and control of all production processes and work flow within this £8M turnover business,
• This position represents an outstanding career opportunity for a manufacturing professional who will also be responsible for Production Engineering, Quality, Health & Safety together with Training and Development.
• As Works Manager you will also identify opportunities for process and cultural improvement as well as capital investment required to enhance the company’s capacity.
• Part of the Senior Management Team contribute to strategic planning and development of the business plan.

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• The Works Manager will demonstrate a successful career to date in managing and motivating small teams of people to achieve beyond their expectation.
• Result oriented, proactive strategically minded able to work on own initiative
• ERP experienced, preferably TRIFID and able to ensure that the system is used to its maximum potential.
• Knowledge of fabrication, welding and machining
This position can be commutable from: Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Hull, Doncaster, Beverley, Leeds, Sheffield, Rotherham, Lincoln, York, Market Rasen.
