Internal Sales Engineer / Electronic Sales Engineer
Theale, Berkshire
Up to £28,000 (dependent on experience) plus bonus
Leading the way in the distribution of printers, displays, components, and component technology, our client has over 15 years’ of experience as a specialist value added distributor. Supplying display and printer solutions, and electronic components, their customer base encompasses a wide variety of industries including the Telecoms, Medical, Defence and Transportation sectors. Due to the success of the Company, and to help sustain its continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Internal Sales Engineer / Electronic Sales Engineer to join their existing team based in Theale, Berkshire.
As an Internal Sales Engineer / Electronic Sales Engineer you will be allocated your own territory with your main responsibilities covering the following areas:
- generation and development of new prospects and account managing them through the complete sales cycle
- proactively developing existing accounts and increasing these accounts accordingly
- responding to incoming sales calls
- preparing quotations and literature
- proactively calling database contacts to generate new leads
To succeed as the Internal Sales Engineer / Electronic Sales Engineer you must have proven sales experience ideally from within the distribution industry, a great telephone manner, strong communication skills and a high level of computer literacy. Also it is essential that you have a relevant technical qualification (preferably to a minimum of HNC/HND or equivalent) or proven qualification by experience.
Additionally, for this role you will need an outgoing and presentable manner, the ability to deal with a range of people, and an ambitious and driven approach. Experience of working in an electronics environment would be highly advantageous to your application.
