Description
DIGITAL DESIGN ENGINEER / CAMBRIDGESHIRE / £NEG + EXCELLENT BENEFITS PACKAGE
* In this engaging role you will develop state of the art wireless systems from specification through to detailed component-level design & eventual hand-over to volume production
* This interesting position involves taking a role in digital IC (FPGA & ASIC) design & digital circuit design at a board level
* Also contributing to architecture specification, actual circuit design, design implementation, verification & approval for volume production of the architecture
* We are keen to hear from Digital Design Engineers with an appropriate background working for an Electronics Design or IC Design company
* Other key criteria include:
- Experience of digital ASIC or FPGA design as well as design of board level circuits
- Embedded microprocessor design exp beneficial
- Familiar with design practices for high-speed digital board design
- Appreciation of analogue design techniques
- Good understanding of analogue design an advantage
Experience of the following tools of value: Synopsys VCS Verilog; Synopsys Design Compiler; Synplicity Synplify Pro; Xilinx FPGA Place & Route
In this excellent opportunity, the DIGITAL DESIGN ENGINEER will:
* Specify/design digital ASIC or FPGA functions
* Digitally design at a board-level - guiding & reviewing PCB layout
* Program FPGAs to emulate the ASIC designs for lab testing before chip sign-off
* Work as part of a close-knit multi-disciplinary project team focussed on delivering the design solution to clients
* Contributing to proposals/quotations
