Description FIELD APPLICATIONS ENGINEER / CHINA / £NEG
* Our client seeks a Field Applications Engineer for a role winning customer design-ins & following leads/develop customer relations to enable them to create customer specific designs, which will need to be demonstrated to customers
* Applicants for this key role will have sound hands-on SMPS design experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
* Exposure to material costs & BOM costing
* Experience with EMC testing desirable
* Language skills important with ability to speak/write fluent English & Mandarin
* Travel is an important aspect with a passport permitting appropriate travel within the Asian region
Other essential skills:
- High volume SMPS design experience & familiar with forward & fly-back topologies
- Full design lifecycle (specification, design, test, launch, volume production)
- Knowledge of cost/performance trade-offs in SMPS design
- International EMC & safety regulations
- Report writing
- Transformer design
- Mandarin/Chinese language skills | | |
