Description
A blue chip, market-leading, automotive organisation require a CAD Engineer to join the Powertrain division. Candidates of interest will have proven skills in Catia V4 or V5and experience of hose / pipe installation work.
CAD Engineer – Catia - Automotive
£25.13 per hour (Limited Company)
Location: Warwickshire (Commutable from Leamington Spa, Warwick, Solihull, Rugby, Nuneaton, Birmingham, Coventry, West Midlands)
Main responsibilities of the role include:
· To support PTSE Cooling department with CAD modelling, packaging and tool/feasibility studies of Cooling Hose Assemblies including releasing drawings in CATIA V4 and TCE
· Applicant must have CAD (Catia V4 or V5)
· Design and surfacing experience to allow supplier to "make to print"
· Experience of Hose/pipe installation work
· Knowledge of the tool design processes for these components in order to carry out feasibility studies for the designs proposed.
Candidates with prior experience in a CAD engineer and degree or HND level education, in Automotive and Mechanical Engineering, are preferred for this position.
The experience/skills, which are desired for this role, include:
· In-depth knowledge of modelling in CATIA V4 or V5
· An appreciation / experience in Cooling System design
· A strong understanding of Catia V4 or V5 Packaging, Visplus, Digibuck is essential
· Strong PC skills essential.
· Automotive Power train system design experience
Preferred:
· Cooling circuit design and installation experience
· Including steel/aluminium rail design and nylon pipe assembly experience.
Temporary position for an original length of 9 months
