Skills
This role would suit a competent and tenacious Buyer who is looking to expand their breadth of experience within a highly competitive market, with the view to becoming Senior Buyer within a couple of years. This role will allow you to fine tune your negotiation and commercial skills, working in a first class lean manufacturing environment.
You will already be:
* A strong negotiator – comfortable negotiating at senior level.
* Able to read CAD drawings and liaise with Engineers internally and externally.
* A multi tasker – able to run multiple projects in tandem.
* Experienced in running cost down/VE projects and have a proven history of delivering raw material cost savings.
* Commercially aware – with a commodity based portfolio of suppliers.
Ideally you will have experience of the following commodities:
* Mechanical assemblies.
* Circuit board assemblies.
* Mouldings.
* Motors.
