Description
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Electrical Engineer located in Harlow.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the checking of electrical designs provided by our sub-contractors against customer requirements, contract and current British Standards and legislation. The position requires someone who has proven experience in the electrical industry with commercial/industrial installations. We require someone who is confident and can discuss with our customer the designs with authority and tact. Needs to be able to follow a project through from initial customer requirements to final commissioning and hand over.
The ideal candidate will be a focused self starter able to set and maintain standards.
A motivator who offers solutions and takes action to deliver.
A good written and oral communicator, comfortable with customer, staff and contractors.
Contractually and commercially aware.
Knowledge of CDM and H&S requirements a benefit.
Fully conversant with current IEE Regulations BS7671 17th Edition.
Expert in industrial & commercial installations.
Discrimination studies.
Cable calculations.
Familiar with power transformers.
Familiar with UPS’s.
Familiar with generators.
Auto changeover systems between transformer & generator supplies. G59 Regs.
Confident in dealing directly with our Customer?
Comfortable in reviewing and supplying BASIC comments on designs outside your field of expertise? i.e. HVAC, general building works.
Computer literate and can use:-
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
AutoCAD - Preparation of drawings including SLD's etc.
Amtech
Microsoft Project
Lotus Notes
