Description Kimberly-Clark is a leading global health and hygiene company with global manufacturing capability and iconic brands that are an indispensable part of life for people in more than 150 countries.
There will be 3 Asset Engineers one per machine. They deal with more high level technical issues including improvements and planning work. They will also do some work traditionally carried out by the technicians, so they are expected to be flexible in their approach. They would also take on any improvement work required and specific projects. They may have one technician reporting into them. This person will be a technical expert and no previous man-management experience is required. The candidate would ideally have gained experience in a Paper mill, but this is not essential as the components are still the same. DCS (Distributive Control Systems) experience is essential.
On a day to day basis this role is less hands on and more involved in design aspects. They will be responsible for checking all parts that come into the factory and also carry out safety work. They will work on route cause resolutions for repetitive problems. He/she will plan and schedule shuts and will support technicians in all aspects of their work. Any major issues with any asset will be their responsibility and they must ensure that assets are running within specified KPIs. They will project manage all issue resolution and also be involved in more central project teams which will involve liaison with staff at all levels.
Key Responsibilities: ·Delivers high safety standards, ensuring compliance with Company and Country regulations. ·Lead a Maintenance Technician to undertake planning and scheduling of shutdowns and be responsible for their work direction. ·Ensure actions are communicated to operations in terms of work priority list at least on a weekly if not daily basis. ·Lead all Engineering activities including root cause analysis for your particular assets. ·Undertake minor capital projects for your assets. ·Set the strategy for improvement of your asset reliability. ·Improve maintenance techniques
Person Specification: ·The role holder must hold a degree in mechanical engineering or have equivalent experience ·High energy, drive and an analytical approach is key to this role ·Excellent problem solving, tenacity and interpersonal skills are also essential ·Ability to transfer knowledge and build capability ·Experience within a papermaking environment is desirable ·Practical use if Autocad is desirable
