Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for an Asset and Programme Manager to join their team based in Glasgow. Within this role you will be a member of the business unit senior management team and you will be required to manage the British Waterways Assets (waterways, canals and locks) and ensure that all works are carried out on budget and within timescale. You will also be expected to deliver the requirements of the Asset Inspections Programme and provide engineering and project management support to other teams within the business unit.
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and will hold a recognised qualification in Civil or Structural engineering. It is essential that you have experience of managing complex construction projects, preferably in an asset management capacity and it would be advantageous for you to have experience of water based civil engineering. You will possess excellent people management skills and with your highly organised approach you will have the ability to manage the balance between asset management and other responsibilities such as people issues. It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to network, influence and control at all levels.
