Description
A Senior Buyer is required by this public services client for a period of 12 months. Reporting into the Purchasing Manager, you will be a key member of the procurement team and work alongside other senior buyers. The main duties will include procuring goods and services via an OJEU tender route, managing existing contracts and suppliers, advising internal stakeholders on procurement procedures and ensuring best value is achieved.
You will have experience of working on your own initiative within a purchasing team and ideally have knowledge of public services legislation including EU thresholds and OJEU tender procedures. Strong communication skills are also essential.
