The European Technical Centre in Milton Keynes is the hub of innovation and excellence, providing design and development and technical support for the European market. Engineers from many European countries and Japan work together to provide top technical expertise to our customers.
As a Technical Manager you will be a member of the management team of the SMC European Technical Centre. With direct responsibility for the Electrical and Instrumentation Section you will provide first class technical leadership to your team of international engineers. Working closely with our technical headquarters in Japan, you will lead and manage a number of product design & development, application and support projects, delivering to specification and on time to our European customers.
With a degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering you will have significant experience in an engineering design role as well as having very good supervisory or management experience. Ideally you will have worked on the application of industrial electronics for factory automation and machine control, with involvement in Fieldbus systems, sensor technology and electrical actuation devices.
