With customers across the world, our client is a reputable software and IT services provider to the sheet metal fabrication industry. Due to considerable growth, they now have an opportunity for a Implementation Consultant / Software Support Consultant to join their team.
This is the ideal role for a computer literate and technically minded individual who is looking to join a small, but rapidly growing company. For the right person, there may be scope for career development, and this position also offers the option of being home or office based.
As a Implementation Consultant / Software Support Consultant you will be responsible for installing and providing training on the company’s CAM software, a product that is used for creating NC programs for CNC sheet metal cutting machines, in particular for architectural cladding applications. Our client has also entered into partnership with a Fabrication company to build a website that allows cladding project orders to be fed to Fabrication Companies – and your role will also involve administration and development of this.
Your responsibilities will include:
- installing the fabrication software and training users
- setup, training, and database management for Fabrication Partners on the new website
- providing software support
- occasionally providing software demonstrations and attending exhibitions
This role will involve travelling to client sites both in the UK and more often abroad.
To succeed as a Implementation Consultant / Software Support Consultant you must be computer literate, technically minded and willing to travel. You must also have a full driving licence, a presentable and self-confident approach, and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will be a college or university graduate (or equivalent) with a qualification either technical or engineering based, relevant to the role.
For this role you must also live near to Bury St Edmunds, or be willing to relocate.
