Applicants will reside within a 20 mile radius of Basingstoke.
* Excellent opportunity for a Service Engineer to ensure generators & ancillary equipment are prepared & maintained to industry best standards as per procedures. The challenges of the position include providing breakdown & technical support to the Service Team for all hire, service & sales activities.
* Applicants will reside within a 20 mile radius of Basingstoke. We are keen to hear from skilled SERVICE ENGINEERS with skills as follows:
- Knowledge of the plant hire industry
- Exp of Generators, Diesel engines, Control panels, Electrical installation
- Good customer service skills/presentation
- Excellent time management/communication skills
- Driving licence
- Willing to work overtime in evenings/weekends as part of Duty Roster
This varied SERVICE ENGINEER's role has 2 elements: Workshop based in checking, repairing, testing generators as part of the on/off hire process & Field work to service, repair generators on site. This includes:
* In the workshop: ensure Generators are checked, repaired, cleaned, prepared & tested as per procedure
* External on- site Service, Contract & Repair work; obtaining best use of materials/labour to meet customer expectations on routine servicing & breakdown calls
* Support Emergency Cover Operations for out of hours (evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays) breakdowns, repairs etc
* Ensure van/workshop parts/consumables requirements are stocked correctly in a cost effective manner, within budget
* Produce accurate/timely service reports for all workshop/service activity | | |
