An opportunity has now arisen for a Trainee Contracts Manager to join their team.
This is the ideal opportunity for an ambitious candidate with a building services trade background to become a Contracts Manager. Full training and support will be provided at all times to ensure you make a success of your role, and develop your career.
Working with the Project Manager, as a Trainee Contracts Manager initially you will be responsible for reading and estimating take-offs from mechanical services drawings, and preparing estimates for the commissioning and water treatment services. You will also assist with dealing with day to day reports and timesheets for a site based workforce of approx 60. As you progress in the role, you will be trained on all aspects of the job, with the aim of becoming a Contracts Manager.
To succeed in this position you must have experience of reading drawings, ventilation and air-conditioning layout diagrams, and schematic diagrams.
The following are also essential:
- A building services trade background - Knowledge of how the general building services trade works - A good level of computer literacy
Experience of ventilation, heating, cooling and domestic water systems would be desirable, as would any engineering qualifications – but these aren’t essential.
The ideal candidate will live within a sensible commuting distance of the office, or will be willing to relocate.
