Buyer – Food Manufacturing – Lincolnshire – to £25k pa + Pension + Healthcare – 12 Month Contract
Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of food, and boasts major retailers such as Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s amongst its customers. This company are seeking to appoint a Buyer to provide purchasing support to the business across 2 or 3 sites. The focus of this role will be on design to print role and New Product Development purchasing, and will involve the jobholder liaising between NPD, purchasing and Account Managers. The Buyer appointed will be required to have specific responsibilities in the following areas: Critical path management, New packaging design delivery and ensuring launches are on time. There will be a further requirement to ensure all new suppliers are approved and are best fit for the site. The jobholder will also have specific responsibility for commercial and supply arrangements for all food products across two Lincolnshire sites. Applicants should be highly organised, flexible and able to respond rapidly changing business needs. Good interpersonal and relationship management skills are also expected. The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise is also required. Please note that this position will not commence until late October 2008. Although a contract role, this position may become a permanent role. Ref: 389
