Description
Applications Engineer.
The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum of HNC/HND.
Daily role involves:
Programming Multi-axis/Single axis motion controllers using an IEC 61131 programming environment. The programming environment being used is CoDeSys 2.3 by 3S Software.
This programming environment uses the following programming formats: -
Ladder.
Function Block Diagram.
Structured Text.
Instruction List.
Sequential Flow Chart.
Control System Flowchart.
Creating HMI application code from scratch
Tuning & Commissioning Servo/Stepper drives using software commissioning tools.
Commissioning products in UK & Abroad (sometimes).
Provide both telephone & on-site Technical Support to new & existing customers as well as the internal Sales force.
Produce customer demonstrations to assist in the Sales effort.
Position requirements:
Our Client is seeking an Engineer who has reasonable experience of Motion Control but training could be provided for an individual who has good Automation Controls experience to equip them with the necessary skills to fulfil this role.
Must be able to write bespoke application code from scratch using an IEC 61131 programming environment together with any HMI related software packages.
It would be a distinct advantage to have fieldbus experience such as CANopen/DeviceNet/Ethernet/Profibus/RS485.
AutoCAD experience would be an advantage.
Good attitude towards work with real drive and commitment is a must.
Conscientious and dedicated and pays attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be expected to travel to Germany between 3...4 times a year for training.
A real team player who enjoys working and playing as a team.
Customer facing experience preferred.
