Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer
Hampshire

Salary 25-30k DOE
A cutting edge computer hardware developer providing bespoke IT solutions to a large number of industries is looking for a Design Engineer. The company are expanding there product portfolio and are looking for a motivated engineer to join the team.
Key duties will include partaking in the product development roadmap including a number of industrial and Embedded PC computing platforms for a wide variety of automation applications.
Additional technical advice will be required for the sales team to help with tenders and bids.
Experience
A number of years electro-mechanical design experience
Experience of wiring and a good knowledge of electronic circuits and wiring standards, including generation of wiring schedules/looms and mechanical drawings.
Ability to generate schematics using schematic capture tools and simple PCB artwork designs using PCB CAD software
Experience in design rationalisation for medium volume manufacture
Experience of compliance issues such as EMC, Safety (i.e. EN60950), IP Ratings (resistance to dust and water ingress) and shock and vibration testing.
Good understanding of configuration control, including BOMs, change control and revision control
