Description VEHICLE FINITE ELEMENT ANALYST AUTOMOTIVE CONSULTANCY LEAMINGTON SPA
Exciting opportunity for you to join this world leader in the development of engine and vehicle technology. An extensive client base and high levels of growth mean that a vacancy now exists for a Vehicle Finite Element Analyst in Leamington Spa.
You will be a part of the Vehicle Engineering department working within the FEA group, responsible for stress, stiffness and NVH analysis of vehicle chassis/suspension and Body-In-White components and systems.
Liaising with internal designers, project managers and external customers you will be responsible for FE model generation, definition of boundary conditions, analysis using MSC/Nastran or Abaqus, post processing, results interpretation, report generation, presentation of the analysis results and recommendations to customers and general task management. Some supervision of junior and or overseas analysts may be required.
The role will require core skills in Nastran and Hypermesh. Knowledge of the following software packages would also be advantageous:
Patran MSC/Fatigue / Ncode Abaqus or MSC Marc Optistruct ADAMS or other multi-body-system packages
A mainstream automotive or commercial vehicle background would be advantageous. | | |
